Okay, so, without going into theatricals, I'm gonna be gone from dA for a while. Like actually trying to not visit, I think would be best (I'll probably fail at this). Nothing to do with people here or whatever, just my own issues. I am on a quest, if you will. For the Holy Grail...OF ART. Or something. Basically I need to remind myself why art used to be fun when i was 14. I've kind of forgotten.

Idk how long I'll be gone for, but I'll try check in every now and then! If you want to just chat with me about whatever, I am always up for that;
e-mail; jamie.payne4@gmail.com OR namagomi444@btinternet.com
msn; namagomi444@btinternet.com
skype; soma.zeke

I'm on msn the most, but emails are a pretty sure bet, too.

Anyway, adios, all~ Thanks for always sticking with me, I appreciate it :heart:

I hope this is just a moment of reflection and that this decision was not taken since something unleasant happened.

Oh God, how you know what you're talking about. dA sometimes can really ruin art for me. ;_; You have my full support in stepping away from it a little; it's always good to take some time to ourselves in order to get our priorities right about art. I think sites like dA can be great for finding friends and discovering things to help us improve, but they also add a lot of pressure, to the point of sucking all the fun of doing it just for the sake of it. D:

I wish you all best on your personal art quest!! :icongreatjobplz:

I think we all go through these, and I've found that personally, I just didn't give a shit when I was 14. I look back, everything was total garbage, but I had FUN doing it. Now, with the self-consciousness that comes with growing up and having nay kind of audience, it feels more like a chore than anything - perspective, proportions, color theory -- I enjoyed everything a lot more before when it didn't matter and I didn't care ... but even so, now it's like, if I tried to not care I'd be pissed at myself because I always want to get better.

It's a nasty double edged blade, but hopefully you'll find something less irritating in your search. Good luck :)
